Description
This capture was made on Thanksgiving Morning, 2014.
It was not photographed in Monochrome, as the ceiling was very low and a steely grey....
The day and evening prior, New York was blasted by a Nor'easter before the trees had a chance to shed all of their leaves. That, combined with the moisture laden snow made the environment a treat to behold. It was still snowing lightly as I went out to shoot.
It was truly a 'Winter Wonderland", just a month early!
The Photoshop "Oil Paint" filter was used to get the Oriental Winter Garden feel I was striving for!

BRRRR, Angelo. What a fabulous reminder of the beauty in winter. The lightness of snow, and its weight on the bows, and new foot prints along our path. LF

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

Beautiful texture of the snow covered tree limbs and detail make this image. The sun trying to shine through adds a touch of interesting light
