Description

As the "Winter-That-Never-Was" continues in the Mid-Hudson Valley, I am glad to still have images to process to keep me afloat! I haven't captured anything of significance (holiday lights notwithstanding)since Nov/2022, probably the longest "drought" I've experienced since I began photographing.

This image is part of my sunflower collection that I photographed back in August, 2022.

The title was inspired by the three sunflowers that towered over the filed of flowers.

The Sunflower Festival at Barton Orchards is truly a unique experience. You can take a hay ride up to a breathtaking five-acre rolling field with about 100,000 sunflowers in a variety of sizes and colors. By paying for a ticket, you can take your time cutting your own sunflowers and taking pictures in one of the most photographed spots in the Hudson Valley.

Well, after being made aware of this, I did not hesitate taking a ride out and coming home bagging more than a few keepers, this being the first one. There are more to come!
