Ditches are filled with wonders and milkweed is a favorite of mine. The long, white, flossy hairs of the seeds are lovely when lit by back light. The larva of the Monarch butterfly specializes on milkweeds, and its populations are affected when milkweeds are eliminated from cropland with pesticides. Oil paint filter version in sepia.
